Single Parent Families Program

Empowering Single-Parent Superheroes

Since 2019, the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation has been investing in underserved communities, promoting the spiritual, mental and physical wellness of marginalized youth. The Foundation seeks to create transformative moments in the lives of young people who, though they may be impacted by hardship in other areas of their lives, retain the drive and passion to succeed. These positive experiences start a ripple effect, impacting families and communities that ultimately change all of our lives for the better.

Spearheaded by former Eagles star and NFL Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins, the Impact Foundation has been able to make real, lasting change in communities in Philadelphia, PA and Jacksonville, FL, —places that shaped who Brian is today. Going forward, the Foundation will strive to reach even more communities, in order to drive more positive change in the world.

Our programs align with various Philadelphia poverty reduction initiatives and Philadelphia community support programs. We offer opportunities for volunteer work in Philadelphia and partner with Philadelphia Children Charities to expand our reach.

Launched in early 2022, the Brian Dawkins Single Parent Families Program supports low-income single parents by providing resources to help their children thrive. This initiative complements other Philadelphia children nonprofits and Philadelphia food assistance charities.

Funded by donations from the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation, this program, administered by Caring People Alliance, will award up to 30 grants biannually. These grants give children access to a wide range of holistic educational opportunities — academic, athletic, artistic, musical, vocational, and mental well-being. Our program works alongside other Philadelphia early learning programs, Philadelphia toddler programs, Philadelphia after school programs, and Philadelphia teen programs.

Single parents often do superhero work, and through this program, we aim to offer extra support to help their children succeed and enhance their overall well-being. We also collaborate with Community Centers in South Philadelphia, Community Centers in North Philadelphia, and Community Centers in West Philadelphia to provide comprehensive support.
