Academic Success

At our Boys & Girls Clubs, we create the perfect environment for youth to discover the joy of learning. STEM Program

STEM Programming instead of Ed: Our Boys & Girls Clubs are dedicated to closing the opportunity gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by offering innovative programs that inspire curiosity and creativity. Our after-school and summer environments provide a unique space for young people to explore STEM concepts and spark interest in STEM-related careers.

Through hands-on, project-based activities, our cross-disciplinary approach merges STEM learning with the arts, allowing youth to tackle real-world challenges and design creative solutions. By engaging in these dynamic experiences, Club members develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and essential 21st-century skills—preparing them not just for future careers in STEM, but for success in any field.

Creative Arts

Our organization believes that creativity and the arts are essential to personal growth and cultural expression. By engaging in various art disciplines, youth can explore their imaginations, communicate in unique ways, and develop new perspectives. The arts programs provided in our Boys & Girls Clubs create opportunities for self-expression, skill-building, and even career exploration, offering a diverse range of experiences that rotate throughout our youth development programs.

We categorize our arts offerings into four key pillars: Applied Arts, Digital Arts, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. Through these pillars, youth can develop technical skills, explore their creative potential, and gain a deeper understanding of the arts' role in shaping our future. Whether through hands-on projects, digital design, performance, or visual expression, our programs empower young people to thrive creatively.

Character and Leadership Development

Development: In our Boys & Girls Clubs we nurture young people’s character and leadership skills, equipping them to become positive agents of change in their communities and the world. Our Philadelphia after-school programs provide the tools and training youth need to actively participate in real-world service projects, volunteer efforts, and community advocacy.

Through engaging activities, youth gain essential knowledge and skills that lay the foundation for lifelong healthy habits. Beyond our longtime successful physical health and nutrition programming, our overall health and wellness programs emphasize the importance of emotional wellness, helping young people form strong community connections and build stable, nurturing relationships with positive role models.
