Asian-American Outreach Program
Supporting and Empowering Asian American Older Adults
The Asian American Outreach Program, known locally as the "Lotus Program," is a program of the Marconi Older Adult Program, housed in the South Philadelphia Boys & Girls Club.
Established in 2018, this program serves older adults who speak Cantonese, Khmer, and Mandarin. The program is operated by Lynn Tang, the Asian American Outreach Coordinator, who provides a variety of in-person and virtual case management services. Participants can enjoy a variety of activities such as meals, cultural games, group cooking, and accessing resources.
In partnership with the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia, Lynn also provides educational programming to our Marconi Older Adult Program members, promoting a culture of inclusion and cultural awareness.
The Lotus Asian Program is a free gathering, which convenes every other week. Lunch is served to-go at noon, for a suggested donation of $1.25.
