Digital Literacy Workshops
Starting June 2022!
Caring People Alliance is launching a Digital Literacy Workshop Program to better support our caregivers and parents. This new program is funded by PHLConnectED.
Description of support content covered
Topics include, but are not limited to, basic use of tablets/ Chromebook, hosting/joining a virtual meeting, accessing SDP Parent Portal, and registering for kindergarten. Participants will be encouraged to suggest their own topics. Additionally, the Digital Literacy Specialists will be available for 1:1 technical assistance session with individual caregivers and parents.
Date(s) and time(s) of support
Group workshops will be held at the West Philadelphia Boys & Girls Club and R.W. Brown Boys & Girls Club. Two Digital Literacy Specialists will lead the workshops twice a month at each location. At R.W. Brown Boys & Girls Club workshops will be held at 1:00pm on the first Tuesday of the month and 4:00pm on the third Thursday of the month. At West Philadelphia Boys & Girls Club workshops will be held at 10:00am on the first Tuesday of the month and 2:00pm on the third Thursday of the month. Workshops will begin in June.
