Child care at our three centers provides state-licensed pre-school programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The programs include exciting educational activities such as swimming lessons, arts & crafts, computer technology, music appreciation, educational trips and theater classes. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks are served. Our Fels South Philadelphia Community Center’s child care program was recently accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Caring People Alliance’s After School program, which follows Boys & Girls Clubs of America curriculum, provides tutoring, homework help, sports, fine arts, swimming, computer training classes, life skills training and entrepreneurial activities. Snacks are provided. Click for more information.
Summer Camp provides all day, theme-focused enrichment programs. Activities include field trips, art classes, computer classes, sports and physical education and cultural events that complement the objectives of public and parochial schools. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks are provided. For teens, this programming emphasizes the development of self-esteem and personal growth through on-site academic support and team activities. Established in 1996, Caring Paws is a specialized service of Caring People Alliance that offers animal- and horticultural-assisted therapy for individuals and groups, as well as animal and plant education programs.
