Description:
Services to Children in Their Own Homes' (SCOH) mission is to provide effective services to at-risk children and families to stabilize the family unit and prevent out-of-home placement. It addresses issues such as adolescent/adult substance abuse, domestic violence, family crises, lack of parenting skills, neglect, physical and sexual abuse, mental health issues, truancy and housing. Caring People Alliance case managers visit families in their homes two or three times per week.
Families in Philadelphia county are referred to Caring People Alliance by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services and can be involved in the program both short- and long-term, determined by the family's needs.
