Caring Paws

Description:

Established in 1996, Caring Paws is a specialized service of Caring People Alliance that offers animal-assisted therapy and education for older adults and humane education for children.

The Caring Paws Zoo consists of a number of animals including a Canine Companions for Independence facility dog, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, hamsters and ferrets. A majority of the animals are from local shelters. Whole Foods Market is an in-kind sponsor of the Zoo, providing fresh fruit and vegetables to maintain the health and wellness of our animals.

Caring Paws is a co-sponsor of Hope Animal Resource Center’s low cost spay/neuter and vaccine clinic for cats and dogs. Clinic days are held at Caring People Alliance community centers. For clinic days, please click on the Hope Animal Resource Center link below.
