Description:

The Parenting Collaborative meets once a week for ten weeks. It gives participants information about various aspects of parenting, including the stages of child development (cognitive, emotional and relational), varied approaches to positive parenting (effective discipline, positive communication and establishing structure and boundaries), conflict resolution and problem solving. Participants learn about what constitutes child abuse and neglect, including parental responsibilities regarding safety and protection of children. Child care, dinner and incentives are provided to program participants.
