R.W. Brown Community Center

The R.W. Brown Community Center at 1701 North 8th Street in lower North Philadelphia provides an array of youth and family-focused services. The "R", as it is known in the community, is a 39,000-square-foot facility that includes a competition swimming pool, full-size gymnasium, cafeteria with kitchen, stage, computer lab with 15 computer stations and high-speed internet access, various classrooms and community meeting spaces and the Caring Paws Zoo, home to the nearly 20 animals who participate in our humane education and animal-assisted therapy programs.
