Caring People Alliance is continuing to serve families in South Philadelphia at our new service location at 2433 South 15th Street (NE Corner of 15th and Porter Streets). The new location offers our full range of Boys & Girls Clubs activities for school age-youth and our Marconi Older Adult Program for people aged 55 years and older.

R.W. Brown Community Center. The R.W. Brown Community Center at 1701 N. 8th Street in North Central Philadelphia provides an array of youth and family focused services. The “R” as it is known in the community is a 39,000 square foot facility that includes a competition swimming pool, full-size gymnasium, cafeteria with kitchen, stage, computer center with 15 computer stations and high-speed internet access, and various classrooms and community meeting spaces.

Boys & Girls Clubs Summer Programs

Caring People Alliance provides full-day Boys & Girls Clubs Summer Programming for school-aged children (5-13 years old, K-8) in Lower North, South, and West Philadelphia. Summer programming provides all day, theme-focused enrichment activates, including field trips, art classes, computer classes, sports and physical education, life skills, and cultural events that complement and exceed the objectives of public and parochial schools. Breakfast, lunch and two snacks are provided.

Caring People Alliance also provides Teen Programming emphasizing the development of self-esteem and personal growth through on-site academic support and team activities for youth 14-18 (grades 9-12). Services include mentoring, tutoring, computer technology, and opportunities to conduct community service projects.  Caring People ALliance participates with Philadelphia Youth Network on summer employment opportunities for teens.
