The West Philadelphia Community Center (WPCC) is a two-story, fully accessible, 40,000-square-foot facility at 3512 Haverford Avenue that provides services for the youngest child through the oldest adult. WPCC includes a large community room/cafeteria, commercial kitchen, full-size gymnasium with stage, competition swimming pool and various class and meeting rooms. Programs at the WPCC include:

As many of you already know, Caring People Alliance recently closed the Fels South Philadelphia Community Center and sold the building.

It was a difficult decision, but one made necessary by financial circumstances. We simply could not afford to keep operating the Center at a huge loss each year. The good news is that we are not leaving the neighborhood. We are currently in negotiations to lease a smaller facility less than one block away from the old Fels Center so that we can continue to serve South Philadelphia families with high quality programs.

The new site will include the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Philadelphia: high quality after school and summer programs for school age children and teens as well as the Marconi Older Adults program. Keep checking back to follow our progress on this new and exciting development in our history.

Marconi Older Adults Program .  Marconi provides a wide range of activities for older adults 55+ including recreation, athletics, meals, trips and a variety of social services. The Marconi Older Adults Program focuses on providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for making friends and participating in activities that help older adults maintain their independence.

The R.W. Brown Community Center at 1701 North 8th Street in lower North Philadelphia provides an array of youth and family-focused services. The "R", as it is known in the community, is a 39,000-square-foot facility that includes a competition swimming pool, full-size gymnasium, cafeteria with kitchen, stage, computer lab with 15 computer stations and high-speed internet access, various classrooms and community meeting spaces and the Caring Paws Zoo, home to the nearly 20 animals who participate in our humane education and animal-assisted therapy programs. Programs at the R.W. Brown Community Center include:
