Reasonable Efforts in Assessment, Access & Prevention (REAAP):

This delinquency prevention program is designed to divert youth from the juvenile justice system. Caring People Alliance staff work with youth around issues such as truancy, school behavior, drug and alcohol use, peer pressure, and parent/child conflict. The program is delivered through a community center-based after school program and also includes home visitation.

Treatment Foster Care (TFC):

Operating out of our R.W. Brown Community Center in lower north Philadelphia, TFC is a distinct, powerful model of care that combines the best elements of traditional foster care and residential treatment centers. In TFC, the positive aspects of a nurturing and therapeutic family environment are combined with active, structured treatment. This program provides individualized and intensive treatment for children and adolescents who would otherwise be institutionalized.

Clients range in age from 13 to 19 and are referred by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. We also operate a satellite office in Williamsport, Pa., where 18 advocate homes are available to children from the southeast Pennsylvania region.

Services to Children in Their Own Homes (SCOH):

SCOH's mission is to provide effective services to at-risk children and families, to stabilize the family unit and prevent out-of-home placement. It addresses issues such as adolescent/adult substance abuse, domestic violence, family crises, lack of parenting skills, neglect, physical and sexual abuse, mental health issues, truancy and housing. Caring People Alliance case managers visit families in their homes two or three times per week.

Families in Philadelphia county are referred to Caring People Alliance by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services and can be involved in the program both short- and long-term, determined by the family's needs

This program is an after school initiative designed to prevent delinquency among adolescents. It is geared toward children between 12 and 17 years old. Case management is offered in addition to after school activities.

Family Partnership Program:

This collaborative program partners Caring People Alliance with Family Support Services, Philadelphia Society for Services to Children and Youth Service, Inc., and offers a home visitation program for Philadelphia families to protect children from abuse and neglect. It also strives to strengthen families and increase children's safety. Social workers work with parents to encourage them to give love, attention and physical care to their children. Parents are also provided with emotional support and valuable information on child rearing and development.
