Description:

Caring People Alliance is a sponsoring organization of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which is a federal program that provides healthy meals and snacks to children and adults receiving day care. This program plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care and making it more affordable for many low-income families. CACFP reimburses participating centers and day care homes for serving nutritious meals.

Ages:

Children age 12 and under
Migrant children age 15 and under
Functionally impaired adult participants
Adults age 60+ enrolled in an adult day care center
Youth up to age 18 in after school programs in needy areas

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost:

Providers are reimbursed for two meals and one snack per child per day.

Referral:

Not necessary

Additional requirements:

Day care homes or centers must be in the Philadelphia area.
