Our Mission

Serving children and strengthening families has been Caring People Alliance's mission for over 75 years. We empower Philadelphia children and youth to become positive citizens, decision-makers and leaders by providing them, their families and their elders with high quality, community-based programs and services that promote character building, educational achievement, healthy lifestyles and teamwork.

2017 Summer Programs

Caring People Alliance is excited to announce a collaboration with Temple University College of Science and Technology for the 3rd consecutive year to provide enriched science and technology content for all summer programs at Caring People Alliance Boys & Girls Clubs sites.  Science programming will occur Monday - Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM - Noon for Kindergarten through 12 year olds.  The science modules will be organizaed around the theme of the Environment and will include topics relevant to physical, life and earth sciences as well as engineering and technology.  The content will be developed and implemented through the College's TUteach program.  Go to http://cst.temple.edu/tuteach for more information on the TUteach program.  Robotics-based programming will be avaialble for older youth and teens.

In addition to science, youth participate in art, dance, computer club, recreation and sport and attend weekly trips.  Camps operate from 8:00AM until 6:00PM for the convenience of parents - no additional after care fees are ever charged!

Caring People Alliance will also be holding ZAC Camp water safety and swim camp the week of July 10, 2017 for youth ages 5-9.  ZAC Camp is made possible through generous funding by the Zac Foundation.
